About

Saad is a graduate in journalism and mass communication from Delhi and identifies as a queer Muslim cis gender man. He is currently working as a Gandhi Fellow (batch 2021-23) In Jhunjhunu District, Rajasthan on Social Emotional & Ethical Learning (SEEL) in rural government schools. Saad is an ambitious personality with a strong passion for SRHR with the lens of gender and sexuality.

His 3.5 years of experience in the social and development sector has revolved around design, advocacy, facilitation and implementation of working for the domains of youth-leadership, gender & sexuality, education and health. Saad grew up 'not-fitting in' at my own home or education/work due to my sexuality.

Thus, he aspires to work in the domain of policy and advocacy for the rights of minority communities and bringing up the intersectionality of social issues. Awarded 'The Youth leaders Award by World Youth leadership Organization', Saad believes in youth leadership and has always seen himself as one. Apart from being an advocate for the mentioned causes Saad loves fashion, music, art and culture. He has grown up understanding the concept of power and how diversity inclusion needs to be an important aspect of power. He believes that “if the crowd doesn't listen to you, build a podium for yourself!”
