Reetu Kushwaha is a student at Miranda House, University of Delhi. She is originally from a small village in Uttar Pradesh and has been involved in raising awareness on health and gender inequality from a young age. During her school years, she was enthusiastically involved in a project that aimed at spreading awareness about menstrual health and hygiene entitled " Soch Hamari Sashakt Nari ", for about 2 years.
She conducted drives to villages, interacted with women there, and planned visits to NGOs like Goonj, supporting the common cause. In college, she joined the "GirlUp Astitva" cell and leveraged social media to raise awareness on health, comprehensive sexuality education and gender equality. She has also worked with GirlUp as an editor and researcher for their publications. She is excited to expand on her existing work to affect change at the national level through the Youth Ke Bol platform.
