Kriti Tirkey is a 21 years old girl. She lives with her mother and younger brother in the biggest slum of Jharkhand, namely, Jagannathpur Basti in Ranchi. She belongs to the tribal community and has been a permanent resident of this slum. She has just completed her Graduation and is doing her fellowship with Pratigya from the last 3 years, an organization primarily working for children’s education living in marginalized conditions.

She is leading the Srijan Bachpan programme of Pratigya which ensures the improvement of the Quality of Life, this programme includes health,life skills, sports and financial education. She innovates the ways of imparting these through games and other activities. Under this programme she has also been working on awareness of menstrual hygiene in the community.

To create a better environment for the adolescents and youth, recently she has innovated a football tournament of mothers, a task-based gaming space that amplified the mother's voices around prevalent social issues such as menstrual hygiene, early marriage, etc. In the last season of this tournament happened in 2022, she has engaged 480 mothers from 23 communities.

Along with that, she had worked during the pandemic for the people affected by disaster in association with the District Administration and IIM Ranchi where she responded over the calls for 60 days for the District Hunger Helpline hosted by Pratigya. She has also been part of some wonderful learning journeys related to the wellbeing of youth, some of which are Ab Meri Baari, Be a Jagrik, Samjho Toh, Q-Ki National & State Championship.
