About
Krishnau is 23 years old and identifies as a trans/non binary and a neurodivergent person. Both these aspects take up a huge part of how Krishanu negotiates her daily existence. Krishanu is currently pursuing M.A. in Sociology from Ambedkar University Delhi. She is interested in sociology of health and sociology of law and to see how these spaces are instrumental in producing a certain discourse around querness and queer bodies.
She has also worked in the SRH space, primarily engaging with the access to safe abortions for sex workers community. She worked as a SAFE fellow under the YP Foundation, and then took the work ahead with ARROW’s seed grant for Asia youth changemakers 2023.
Under the latter she is tackling the awareness gaps in accessing safe abortions for sex workers community of Pune with a peer education led model. She also engages in advocacy on queer-trans and disability issues. Krishanu strongly believes in the need for community in our daily lives, it is through daily practices that I try to live my Queer-trans, disabled life with my community.
