Ishita is a 24-year old policy consultant, a Gender Rights Advocate, and a published writer with a keen interest in Economics and Literature. She is based out of Delhi and has over 3 years of experience in advocating for SRHR. Currently, she works as a policy consultant at PROAct, a public policy vertical of Derek O'Brien and Associates.
She runs a weekly newsletter and blog called, The Wannabe Economist." The newsletter and blog focuses on all things policy, politics, economics, gender, and academia. Her aim is to simplify and decode complex academic jargons and issues.
She has represented India as a young speaker at the South Asian Youth Summit organized by Youth Advocacy Nepal and ActionAid Nepal and is also a NSDC certified community service facilitator. With a wish to be the change that she wants to see in the world, Ishita loves working in the field of policymaking.In her free time, you can find her in a cafe or in a park reading a book or a notebook in her hand, happily writing all her worries away.
