About
Abi Babu is a 22 years old female from the Kollam district of Kerala. She is currently pursuing her masters in Social Work specialising on Women Centred Practice from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. With a rights based intersectional feminist approach she advocates for the rights of people in terms of their sexual reproductive health.
She was a Safe Abortion for Everyone(SAFE) fellow with the YP Foundation which enriched her experiences and understanding in sexual reproductive health advocacy. Through that cohort, she was able to participate in the creation of fact based information and community based advocacy interventions related to abortion.
During her undergraduate and postgraduate courses she has engaged with the sexual reproductive health arena and her engagements in fieldwork have really helped her to understand the field realities of sexual reproductive health domain. With her skills in analysis, research, advocacy, communication, team work, project management, and community interventions she is committed in engaging policy change and advocacy around Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights.
