Aanya Wig is the Co-Founder of Her Haq, a youth-led non profit organization working on women empowerment and ending period poverty in India. They have distributed more than 10,000 sanitary napkins in over 10+ states. They take regular workshops at Her Haq to educate adolescents and adults about menstrual hygiene management and sanitation.
They also take workshops on puberty and breaking myths around menstrual health. Aanya is also a Programme Associate at The Udaiti Foundation, working on empowering women economically working on the private partnership pillar. She is a recent graduate from Lady Shri Ram College for women and holds a postgraduate diploma on International Humanitarian Law, Human Rights Law and Refugee Law. She is a SUSI scholar with the US Department of State and. Aanya is also a Top Voice in Social Impact for LinkedIn and has given three TedX talks. She has worked in the past with UNESCO's Cluster Offices, The Quint and with Dr. Fauzia Khan. Aanya is also on the Young People’s Action team for UNICEF.
